Vaduz Round Table

Prince Michael of Liechtenstein, the founder of GIS AG and Uwe Nerlich, one of GIS’s leading experts, were initiators of a three-day roundtable discussion in Bendern, Liechtenstein.

The idea behind this unique initiative was to establish a peer group of forward-thinking leaders and visionaries from academia, public institutions, policy circles, plus some practitioners, to determine the future shifts in global issues.

The focus of the ninth edition of the Vaduz Round Table (VRT) held May 10 to May 12, 2019, was on Europe and Russia – “Re-engaging the two incomplete global powers amidst a challenging quadrilateral competition?”

Once assembled, a VRT group focuses on the following goals:

  • developing a joint vision for the future of an issue from different points of view,
  • connecting stakeholders on a neutral platform to discuss issues on a regular basis,
  • fostering the definition of social, political, economic and technological cornerstones and standards.
